The Ultimate Vulgarian

and how to stop him

We’ve all read the endless analyses of Trump’s psyche: sociopath, narcissist, grifter, degenerate, clown. And all are accurate. But I believe the one descriptor that subsumes all of these and one that he displays every day is simply this: The man is vulgar. No need to go into all the possible examples throughout his shameless career. But two recent ones stand out and further prove the extent of his vulgarity. The first occurred after the recent “No Kings” demonstrations where over 7 million people showed up to assert their discomfort and horror at the many violations of the Trump regime. And the orange man’s reaction? He posts an A.I. video that shows him wearing a crown, flying an airplane, which dumps diarrheal feces on the crowds below. “It’s a joke,” the President of the United States,” says. “It’s satire,” weaselly little Mike Johnson claims. It’s disgusting, everyone else acknowledges. How can such a person be in charge of the nuclear codes and our international reputation. Then, only days later, this vulgarian, turns loose the bulldozers to tear down the entire East Wing of the White House in order to build his gilded ballroom at a cost of well over 300 million dollars at a time when the government is shut down and workers are not being paid. Even republican toadies must understand by now that the man is unhinged, and is day-by-day taking apart our country. But do they speak up? Are they so scared of retribution, so worried about losing their precious power? Looks that way.

What Now?

The demonstrations are a good start. We know we have the numbers. But demonstrations alone do not stop this madness. The best path for those of us who still maintain hope for change is, once again, through the ballot box. We have to do all we can to take back control of congress in the 2026 elections. In any normal situation, this would be a no-brainer. Democrats, Independents, and good Republicans would show up in vast numbers to register their opposition to midnight raids on citizens, to undeclared wars, to pardons for admitted criminals. But this will be no normal election year. Trump and his cadre of criminals are doing everything possible, legal and otherwise, to fix this election. To make it harder for those that oppose them to vote and to gerrymander each red state to give them even more unbalanced influence. Yet there are still good people out there who are willing to run against this corruption, and they need to be supported with donations and  discussions. And there are honest lawyers and judges battling these oppressive forces and staying ready to take on even greater levels of corruption as those elections grow nearer. They too need our support. Other than that we can wait for Trump and his incompetent and soulless minions to self-destruct. That seems to me a distinct possibility. But I don’t count on it. Disease does spread if remedies are not applied.

Trump may be vulgar (he is), and corrupt (ditto), but he is not immortal. We see his deterioration every day, physically and mentally. The lack of empathy or true emotion has probably always been there. Some day he will be gone. Hopefully it will be soon, but until that happens we must do all we can to limit his deathly procession.

SPOT ON BUTCH. We are witnessing dystopia but we also need to keep a glimmer of hope for all of the measures you rightly identify.
